A few days ago United Kingdom Gambling Commission organized a survey among locals and presented the statistics data of the participation in gambling for 2016.

The results of research display the data on the number of UK residents interested in gambling, percentage ratio of players for men and women, preferred device types to play.

GCUK has detected that the number of people who liked to gamble and made bets in 2016 increased by 3 percents over 2015. In addition, UKGC interviewed locals with the subject of the legality of cash games and 67% of respondents voted for a positive result.

After a more detailed investigation in the industry of cash games, it was found that the higher part of cash gamers is men 50% (up from 47% in 2015).The number of women who liked the risk hasn’t changed much for 2016, it is 44%.

Moreover, research shows that there is the inequality in choosing a device type for women and men. Men generally prefer laptops (55%), while more women choose tablets (43%).

But what is truly surprising is that a huge number of gamblers aren’t aware of the conditions and terms for selected gambling. Only 23% of United Kingdom players answered that they read the conditions before playing.

And, of course, social networks have contributed greatly to the fortune industry. UK study found that 68% of players began their experience with the games of chance via Facebook, Twitter or others. The majority of those are people from 18 to 24 years old.
